Did you get the rear console wood as well?

I just ordered the part. Dealer needed my VIN number to verify the right color of wood and dash options, i.e. DVD or not cubby or not. The part includes the plastic above the wood console that we are looking for.

He called BMW before ordering. I think it will be a while since the MY05E60 is not yet in showrooms here in CA. There was no inventory available. I guess if enough of us order them then they will manufacture and stock accordingly.

What price did he quote you?

!@#$ I new you guys would ask about the part number. Sorry, I was out of there so fast.

There are so many different part numbers for this, one for each combo of wood color and options

I think it was $138 US

If you go back and read my previous post, I ordered the part, had it installed and pics are on the forum.

Mine cost 58Euro or $71.56.

I had them do the install. I don't have the tools or workplace. Also, didn't want to screw up the long piece that runs along the dash. It must be removed.

My clueless dealer still did not find the correct partnumber for the pappelmasser braun part (poplar wood).

If anybody has it please post it so I can help my dealer to order it..

Yesterday I ordered the wood trim piece for the area above the center console from the dealer where I purchased my E60. I don't have the part number. As I watched the parts guy scroll through the online parts catalogue, I discovered that the part numbers for this piece of trim vary depending upon the type of wood and other equipment on the vehicle.

I ordered the center trim piece in Poplar Wood and hope it will match the Poplar Wood trim on the instrument panel and console. It helps to have the trim number for your E60 when you place the order. The parts guy looked up the trim number for my E60 using the last six or seven digits from my car's VIN.

The center trim piece has to be shipped from Germany. It'll be a couple of weeks before it arrives.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to install the center trim piece?

I also tried to order the wood trim piece for the back of the console where the two power outlets are located. The parts guy told me the part is currently not available.

I hope you can find out the partnumber for me.. I need to point it out a bit for my dealer..

My dealer also asked me to give a VIN number of a car that has ordered the wood trim.. Maybe you want to pm me your VIN so my dealer can look it up??

Thanks man!

Maybe everyone who orders could post the part numbers. That would be very helpful.

Struck Out getting the part number from the Crevier guy at RF. He whined that there were too many numbers, and refered me to an online site that clearly does not have listings for many (and particularly any new) options.

CWO Army's number may be correct but he wouldn't even confirm that !!!

This is begining to look like a top secret trim part which many have dual purpose military or thermonuclear functions !!!

Its up to Lomag now to get to the bottom of this !!!
