OK, so if you read my post about my recent dilema (four bent and one cracked OEM 172's), you know I'm in need of some new wheels.
I've heard of the mirro 111's, beyern mesh, and v710's. Of those, the beyern's will be the heaviest - but the stongest too. I'm a little adverse to light and "bendy" wheels now that I've somehow bent all 4 of mine, so the beyern's are topping my list.
I don't track the car and I won't be going fast for awhile now (also see my recent post about getting pulled over doing 117 plus in a 65 zone - ouch!).
So my question is, are they really that much heavier and will they have that much of an affect of the performance of my car?
Oh, and I like the fact that the beyern's come factory with ET 15 front and back - so no need for spacers of any kind with them which I like.
What do you think?

the wheels you have mentioned are all cast wheels....forged wheels are stronger and lighter, did you look into any forged wheels?

I haven't but only because the perception is that they will cost a lot more, and i really don't want to spend a fortune on them. Do you know of any reasonably priced forged wheels?
To me, reasonable is $1000 - 1500 for all four.

iForged wheels are amazing but holy shit are they out of reach for most people except for super ballers with loads of money to throw away. I am with you in that regard. Having said that, I suggest the 111 Miros for a few reasons:
1) They are concave
2) They have a very interesting, unique, sporty yet aggressive design.
3) Affordable

Forgestars are the still CAST wheels but they are the strongest cast wheels when compared to VMR, Miro, & Breyton because they use flow form casting. Do not let the Forgestar name deceive you.
In order of strength Forged > Flow Form Cast > Low Pressure Cast > Gravity Cast
