if possible, pic of it at night time. Thinking of changing my tail lights too but not in the mood to shell out $ 750 right now.

Ok, here are the pics of the installed product.
I realize now what rctmthouse said earlier in the thread about the background light, which is maybe just a bit too bright. Well, if Bruce has any solution to this, I could go for it .

Overall, I'm quite pleased with them. I just have to adjust the fitment some more tomorrow. It started to be pretty late here and I didn't want to spend the whole night with them lol!
The install itself was pretty straight forward. The only delaying thing was Eric fooling around with the tools .

Pics...
Damn those things are pretty tricky to photograph!

OEM pre-LCI rear light for reference:

Yes, Eric. That's exactly what we need right now :

Comparing the two side by side:

Yes I do have a solution for this. This was my Sonar cables that didn't prove very popular due to the costs. I just sold out the stock I was holding on to but could always make another one for you. You also need to note that as is the Brake lights are infact about half as bright as BMW intended them to be. The reason for this is that the manufacturers have put a resistor in parallel with the Brake to make them dimmer so that the LED rods are visible but in doing that they have reduced the brightness of the Brake as well. Ofcourse my cables fixed all those issues.

Aznfin,

It does look much better compare to the pre-lci version

Is this the same one as the Umnitza and Ebay version?

BTW Bruce, how much did you charge for the cable anyway? I searched for it but can't find that thread anymore. I vaguely remember you actually posted pics of the difference too. If you have the link to it somewhere, please post it. I'm actually interested in this now. Also how much would the cable cost now since there is no group buy whatsoever.

Thanks

+1 for the questions to Bruce! I'm interested too. Bruce, if you could throw us a pm I'd appreciate it.

rctmthouse; I don't know if these are the same as Ümnitza or Ebay, sorry. I haven't done very much searching and comparing on the issue. I just got a good hint for these to be available at the Schmiedmann, so I went for it.

I just checked the Ümnitza and these seem to be the same lights. At least the appearance is exactly the same.
