My Ride: 2005 545i Alpine White Premium package, Sport package, Nav, HUD, PDC
I got a few pms regarding the finish on these wheels so I figured I would just put it here:
1) Wheels were powdercoated a matte/flat back finish first (entire wheel including inner barrel and all surfaces).
2) The outer surface of the wheel was machined, leaving the indented lines on each spoke and other recessed surfaces black. The outer rim border was also machined, creating an outer trim.
3) Lastly, wheels were clear coated.
As for cost, I called around and received quotes ranging from $550 all the way up to $1100. I ended up paying $725 and a case a beer.
