This will now fully intergrate the mod so the you can now make your video source selection through your I-Drive you don't need a remote control.
Why then do you have a photo of a remote control? Also can you please show us some photos of the actual iDrive screen and some feel for how integrated it is. This is getting a lot of people excited.

Hi
The picture of the remote is in the post already. Please look up top. You will not see anything on the screen in regard to intergration. You press the I-Drive down and right and it will keep switching video.
Thanks Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.com

Hi Dom

Sorry to ask what might be previously answered questions, but does this device just allow you to play DVD's or is it TV as well?

My car is a 2005 UK model with Pro Nav.

Do you use the DVD slot where the Nav DVD normally goes or do you need to purchase a seperate DVD player?

I am not tecnically minded so would not attempt to try and fit this, do you know of any companies in the UK than can offer fitting for your product?

I think you misunderstood my question. You said that because of the new iDrive integration you don't need a remote control.
But now reading your post am I right in thinking that you need the remote to switch the unit to display to the iDrive monitor first. Then later video switching between the various inputs is via the iDrive knob. Is that correct? If yes then you do need a remote control for at least part of the function. Where is the IR sensor installed.

I've been watching this thread and waiting for the upgrades. I think Dom is really on to something but I'm just too scared to tear into my BMW and do something like this. I do like the idea of the integration with the I drive. Don't see anything about the TV and reception? TV antenna?

Thumbs up

Hi Everyone
Maybe what I we will do if Hobi agrees, is I will send him one the new E60 units with I-Drive controller and he can give everyone pictures and a play by play of what he thinks and what he would like to add.
Thanks Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.com

Hi bruce_miranda
I am sorry I did misunderstand your question. The reason for the remote is because the I-Drive controller is an option. If you don't get the controller you get a remote. We are trying to come up with I-Drive sequences so you can turn the unit on and make the video selections. The problems has been to make sure the these sequences and NOT used in other parts of the counrty.
Thanks Dominic www.TVandNav2Go.com
