I have to say I much prefer the ones on the 05 M5. The others are a little too much. Is a high powered Beemer not a Honda Civic

YYYYYYYEEEEEESSSSS.

I' ve already got them !!!

For just 1250 Euros.

Now the BABY is gonna turn to a BEAST.

E60 is a sport sedan, so i think the sportier the better.

These rims are matching perfent IMO on a Black E60.

These are not chromed, just polished foggy aluminium with gray metallic interior painting.

By far, the most expensive BMW OEM alloys for E60. (166 = 2200 $) (167=3300 $).

It's not just you Europeans that "dislike" chrome. I don't like chrome either. There is a reason why BMW does not use chrome wheels and I think the reason is that it kills the design of the wheel and in turn takes away from the design of the car. There are many wheels that have similar designs with only the small details distinguishing them and making one look better than the other. However, chrome by its very nature hides and blurs the details and makes the better looking one look more or less the same as the lesser one. So yes, if you want "more shiny" then chrome is it, but it kills the design details and certainly does not match cars with modern designs (like the E60). IMO the only place on the wheel that chrome MAY look good on certain wheels is the lip, and even that is not always the case.

As far as chrome weakening the wheels, that may very well be the case, I don't know. However, I do know one thing, the US is the land of chromed wheels, lawyers, and law suits. If chroming wheels makes them significantly weaker then we should hear of cracking chrome wheels and the resulting law suits on the news here all then time, and I have not heard of ANY such case. Regardless of whether chroming makes the wheels weaker or not I don't like it because IMO it makes the wheel look bad and takes away from the design of both the wheel and the car. Of coarse, as always that's just my opinion.

those look great on an M6 but im still undecided about how they look on an e60. i think an e60 looks better with a beefier rim.
don juans hartge's are still my fav rim for the e60, follwed very closely by the type 172's.

Peace
