While not earth shattering to many of you, perhaps, for me my newly installed M Aero Tech Retrofit Kit and Style 166M wheels with Michelin PS2s on my 550i is pretty exciting stuff. Here are some pictures of same.New M Aero Kit and Style 166M Wheels-p7220001.jpgNew M Aero Kit and Style 166M Wheels-p7220002.jpgNew M Aero Kit and Style 166M Wheels-p7220003.jpgNew M Aero Kit and Style 166M Wheels-p7220004.jpgNew M Aero Kit and Style 166M Wheels-p7220005.jpg

That looks absolutely fantastic! Excellent job. One quick question, for the rims themselves how much lighter are the 166's compared to your original 124's? I've put non-RFT's on my 124's, and it's an appreciable improvement, was wondering how much additional difference the 166's might make in terms of weight reductions. The RFT tires themselves are unbelievably heavy!

It looks great! One recommendation, lower the spring a little bit like 3cm?

You know, I meant to weigh the 166M wheel and tire combinations and I forgot. I can't lift anything at the moment as result of recent surgery, so my next door neighbor was kind enough to swap out my wheels for me this morning with me supervising. We used two hydraulic jacks (his and mine) and finished in less than an hour.

I know when I put Style 125M wheels and the same size Michelin PS2s on my car a few months ago, they were nearly 40 lbs total lighter thanthe 124s with RFT. That is a huge savings in unsprung weight, It has to help gas mileage, aas well as handling.

When I am able to lift heavy things again I will allow my curiosity to take over and dismount and weigh one of each of these new wheels/tires.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I am just fine with OEM suspension height.
