lol thats true. the one really good thing about these is when you are backing up the added light has to be nice because with my tinted windows it sucks backing up at night when im not around street lights.

I replaced my license plate lights with these LED's.

I installed these on my 4/2007 build 535i. They have a built in resistor so I don't have any bulb out warnings and you don't have to wire in a resistor yourself. To dissipate the heat created by the resistors, they have heat sink fins on the back so you won't melt your plastic bulb housing. Pretty cool how it's all in one tiny package. They were a little pricey... $49.99 for a pair of bulbs. Overall I'm satisfied since I didn't need to do any wiring or splicing since it uses the existing bulb housing and everything is still original OEM except the bulbs. I don't think they are as bright as the eBay ones the OP listed, but they are definitely brighter than OEM and look super clean since it's the hyper white light that all LED's emit. I don't mind that they're not super super "in your face" bright since that wasn't the look I was going for anyways.

Should definitely be easier for people to read your license plate with these bulbs. Troopers will be happy.
