OK guys, I joined the forum this month. And the more I read the posts and threads, the more you all are infecting me and ruining my bank account Just had 19" M5 sport rims (reps) installed and after reading about SB, I couldn't help but order one. It arrived earlier today. Cost me $350 shipped. I got it installed tonight. It was a breeze to do. Thanks to all the pics and posts on the SB topic here. This forum is fantastic for information and resources for our E60. Since I installed at night, I have not tested it yet. I'll be giving it a spin tomorrow. And if it is as advertised, it'll put a huge smile on my face. I ain't saying a word about the SB to the wifey. I guess I'll let her find out on her own accord when she takes the car out for a spin

After install, I simply started the car while in the garage. After a few seconds in idle, the tTC needle went up slowly past 1K rpm... stayed there for a minute or so, and then slowly returned under 1K. I checked iDrive controls... No error code, nothing reported so far... I turned the car off. My drive test report tomorrow... knock on wood... I cannot wait to put the metal to the peddal and expect to be greeted with a swift motion forward with SB. Anything less will be unsatisfactory...

Have a safe test drive. Money well spent on the SB IMO.

Pretty soon you'll want to get the M-Tech kit, lower the suspension, add performance exhaust, mod the intake... Then when it gets really bad, you'll want to add a big brake kit, splitters, change wheels/tires like you change your shoes, do the ECU... After you've done all that, you'll think of adding a turbocharger or supercharger, but find out that it is economically the same to trade up to a more powerful E60... and you start all over again!
