My climate control mask has a little scratch, so I'm thinking about doing this mod in Jet Black.
What do you think? Making current Poplar wood trim lighter or go with Jet Black? My interior leather colour is Auburn.

go with Jet Black .... much better for Auburn and Beige, but more prone to visible scratch, the gloss silver will look good too and you wont see the scratches as much, I clean mine with a micro-fiber cloth..but as you know like Black cars....but its soo nice to have it. I suggest you buy a set of trim like Andy here and keep your original as it is and color the second set.....

Good work Andy!
I like aluminium trim in the 3er and 6er etc., but just did not think it worked in a 5er. Having now seen the centre console also finished in aluminium, I can see why it didn't work for me before -- this however looks spot on
Looking forward to seeing it at the meet...
(Might also have to ask you for advice about spraying my centre console in high-gloss black to match the rest of my trim )

Eerst schuurpapier gebruiken daarna primer aanbrengen, besproei veelvoudige dunne lagen van verf en dan 2 lagen van clear lak.

btw, the color is not per say aluminium, it's got more of a bronze tint to it - you'll see what I mean at the meet...
