My Ride: 2006 M6: SMG. Black Sapphire, Black Leather.

While parked a few days ago my bumper got scratched up by some A@#hole who also left two holes (Im assuming from license plate screws on the other car) in the bumper. While I know this is a cosmetic problem it really is driving me nuts. My question to you guys is, How much do you think it is to replace the front bumper? Thanks for your help.

I called my insurance company and of course they are paying for it. I just have to pay for the deductible. The quote I got from the body shop for a brand new bumper, painted and installed was $1100.

Ballpark, $500-$600 for part and painting. I have a curb rash that I have yet to fix, but I did price the front bumper and the part is approx. $250 with the remainder depending on the costs in your area.

I'm in Chicago also, (Barrington actually). Just had an insurance claim repair on mine and it ran $900, including painting and install.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
$800 to repair and paint existing bumper skin. They heat gun the skin which reduces the bondo they need. I had my done.
