Whats up fellas, Im glad I found this board...Ive learned so much already.



Anyways, to my question....I just picked up an o4' 525i for a steal; BEAUTIFUL CAR but its lacking some neccesities. Its basically a standard model with no navigation, parking detection, or bluetooth. Ive already read up and figured how to get bluetooth but its the other two that I have trouble solving.


Now is it still possible to upgrade to nav or does it require a big upgrade price tag?

As for parking detection, is that a task I should leave for later and just pick up some curb feelers???

For PDC, instead of getting front/rear PDC Which is $$$$ Retrofit, u can simply get a $230 Licence plate PDC in Rear.. install is 1-2hrs, so u looking @ $430 max w/install by ur BMW Dealer

NAV - I thought about it too, but it too damn expensive.. parts alone = $1500-$2000!!!.. U could buy a $300-$400 v.good Garmin/Magellan/TomTom portable GPS and place it on ur Dash.. its 10x more features than BMW Navigation + portable!

since ur's is a basic model, I would look into buying a M-Tech Kit ($1700 MSRP), but u can get from quad_m (member from this forum, great guy!) for $1500 shipped. Paint+install = $1000 = $2500 u will get a face-lift
