So the dealers were trying to do whatever they could to get rid of a gorgeous brand new 2010 xDrive 528i and so I decided I should upgrade.
Here are the start pics (and lights since it relates to my question): http://gallery.me.com/ulevitch#100238 http://gallery.me.com/ulevitch/10023...12774803810002 Now I want to change a few things... 1) I'd like smoked out tail lights, but it looks like most sites just sell them for 5-series only up to 2006. Can I get some for my 2010? 2) And I'd like to find some brighter angel eyes. It looks like I can upgrade the OEM lights, or go all-out with the HID and have to figure out how to get someone to help me install and deal with the ballast, etc. Seems like replacing the stock OEM lights is easiest. 3) I'd also like that thin spoiler at the top of the rear window, but all the ones I see need to be painted. Where would I go to get something painted the same color as the car? I doubt the dealer does this stuff. I'm in the bay area, if that helps. I'm excited! Thanks. -David |
welcome to E60
go with HID angel eye, it is brighter and nicer, you can see it under sunlight, contact john (brabusw209amg) i think you mean ACS roof spoiler, ebay sells it painted for around hundred |

yeah, but it's a piece of shit and looks all wavvy and gross.
Something like this looks okay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT I have no idea what they mean by it being "DIY." I am not generally a DIY car person (more like a "pay someone better than me" kind of car person). At least not yet! :-) |

Any pictures of said wavvy and gross spoilers? I definitely don't want that.

Congrats on the new car! Which part of the bay area are you from? There is a shop called SonicMS located in Mountain View. They can get most if not all the mods your looking for. I got my taillights tinted there. Check them out.

I've seen some people get their taillights tinted -- is it noticeably different from getting actual smoked out taillights? I can't find anyone selling smoked taillights for the 2010 e60 chassis. |
