Fellas,

What's your opinion on the best snow tires?

Thanks in advance!

I had the dunlop wintersport 3D's on my e46 and they were AWESOME, and now on my e60 I have the pirelli winter 210 snowsports and they SUCK compared to the dunlops. I gave the pirelli's a try and will definitely be switching to something different once these wear out.

Blizzak LM-22's or 25's. If you live in an area that gets pounded every day during the winter with snow and it never melts, then these are the best of the best. I have them on my M5, had them on my 530xi and have them on my X5. If you want the best snow tires, outside of studded, these are the best. Since I live in NY, I could probably do the Dunlops, but if you want the best, go with Blizzaks.

The best? If you want the best, go for Nokian - finns knows how to make good winter tires :) Nokian is currently owned by Bridgestone. There was one Swedish maker as well - Gislaved, but it does not exist anymore. Both Nokian and Gislaved are/were specialist winter tires makers - nordic people know what is snow and real winters :)

For best - go Nokian.

I second the Blizzak's comment. From what I hear they're the best.

Snow, or wet and slush with freezing temps? there is a difference, but the blizzaks are great winter tires, especially for local winters, which are more about ice than snow.

Thanks guys for the replies/suggestions so far. I will definitely check out all three suggestions. Here in Maine we get a lot of snow, especially as of late. I live on the coast where there's less snow, but do have to travel a lot within the entire state.

Contis ranked 1 or 2 a year ago when I got my winter set from Tire Rack. Also several from Finland or Norway wrote here that they really liked them so I got a set. Couldn't be happier. Check the various test results and select what features and benefits most match your primary needs. Good luck making your decision.
