I just bought a set of 172's and I need some tires. I just bought my 530i and this is my first car, I have always driven trucks so I am totally lost when it comes to car tires. I need 245/35R-19 for the front and 275/30R-19 for the rear.

Where is the best place to buy tires? Best prices?

What brand should I look for?

Does anyone you know have these size tires and is looking to sell them.

Any input and suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Some other forum members can answer the other questions, but you can find a selection of tires here:

Tire Rack

Or check the classifieds section.

Good Luck

I'd also call the dealer and ask them for prices, brands, and specs.

A great place to look for tires is at tirerack.com. Prices are very good and there are many tire tests and owner reviews. Many local shops will match the Tirerack price if you take a print out. Costco is also a good place to get tires for a good price after you figure out what you want.

You did not mention where you are located. Discount Tire has stores in several U.S. states and they can be pretty competitive.

Welcome!

Another good buy for the money are the General Exclaim UHP.
They're available in the sizes you need from Tirerack.com.

If you are searching for the best tire in that size, it seems to be Michelin Pilot Sport 2 ; many of us have it and we are very happy .

Welcome as well. I would also recommend the General Exclaims. They are inexpensive and really good tires. They rate highly. I do not think that you can go wrong...

Good luck.
