While replacing my battery, the cover flew off and landed somewhere in between my seats and I can't find it Now need to find a cheaper place to purchase a replacement.Dealer wants a cool 270 which I think is outrageous.Grateful for any suggestions.

use a shop-vac with end of the wand covered with a piece of panty hose (so the fob doesn't get sucked into the vac bag) .. fish around under the seat - you'll suck it up!

Thanks for the replies!
Tried the shop vac method with no luck-that sucker is well hidden or lodged!
How hard is it to remove the seats, has anyone actually done this?

Your mystery is really puzzling. I've dropped small things between the seats (lifesavers, cell phones, keys, etc etc). There is a removable plastic cover toward the back of the seat rail ... try to remove that- it just snaps off. And the inside of the actual seat rail tracks is just wide enough that it could swallow the key fob - the recess is black and wide/deep enough . If you move the seat back and forth you might crush the key fob. Get out your CSI flashlight to see if you can spot it there. Here's a pic to help you out

Thanks for the good info and the schematic!
Is the removable black plastic cover you mentioned at the front end of the seat near the foot well?

I believe only 4 bolts hold the seat down, take them out, then disconnect the battery and shake it around until you find it. Or just order a cheap key of ebay.
