My 04 545i is in need of new rear pads and tires. Question is any recommendations for where to buy pads? I've seen BAvarian auto and Tirerack carry Hawks and Pagids. Thoughts?

Also what tires should I get for replacements? The cost of the Dunlop RFT are too high. I want to go to NRFT as four of them cost what two RFT do. I looked at the Bridgestone RE760 and liked the price and the look. Anyone have them?

Thanks

Although I havent had to change my pads/rotors yet, I check them out on this web-site and this is probably where I will buy mine once I do. I would go with the high end ceramic pads and dimpled/slotted rotors.

As for the tires.....go to www.discounttiredirect.com not only do they ship them for free, but you wont have to pay taxes on the tires, plus they have more selection and are cheaper then going to the store. You'll just have to have a local shop mount and balance, but thats like $10 a wheel, so its worth the trouble. ( I have Falken brand tires and love them, BTW)

For brake pads (and rotors) I would suggest Zeckhausen Racing. The Axxis Deluxe pads will do you good:

Also, when it comes tires an online store would be the best place for prices as IceyTys mentioned. RFTs are an option if you're really need that feature but you can cut costs by buying a NRFT. Keep in mind that you also have a stock tire pressure monitor system equipped on your vehicle.

wow that alot of $$$.
for the parts I payed about $500us for front and rear so that all 4 wheel and still less than your quote and they much better than stocks.
you don't have to change the rotors when changing pads.
But it is the best way to change both.
most ppl change there rotor every 2 set of pads
