So my diff on my 530i automatic is bad...at 67k miles but anyways anyone know if I can swap to another diff that'll give me more power (torque)? I heard if I swap to a diff with a higher gear ratio itll give me a higher % of torque? Thanks

Would this mean slightly faster acceleration? 330ia diff / 325ia diff

3.73 for the 525i diff and 3.46 for the 530i diff, so if im reading this right there is a good difference?

I can't open that link on my iPhone, but in my opinion, there is enough difference between 3.46 & 3.73 for you feel the difference. 3.73s will feel quicker when accelerating, but the car will be turning more RPMs at cruising speed.

Consequence of the "lifetime oil"?
I replaced the diff oil twice in 55k miles.

Thanks for the boost of confidence I'll probably go that route, too bad theres no 3.91 or 4.10's for cheap lol

It makes a loud clunking/whining noise, I still have it on the car though till I get a new rear diff, its been less loud lately though
