As many of you e60 members know, I purchased a set of wheels and tires from a fellow member to find that 3 of the rims were bent. Now I want to know that if I get these rims fixed, what is the likelihood of these rims bending again? The tires on the rims are 255/30/20 and 295/25/20. Any input from fellow members having such a profile on their 20s would be greatly appreciated.
BTW I live in Canada and the roads are pretty bumpy

If it was the outside of the rim that was bent, they should fix up fine.

If they were bent out of round I'm not so sure.

Depending what "bent" stands for in this case, many companies will not even touch them for a repair.

I actually talked to my body shop and they said that the rims have minor bends and they are repairable. But i just wanted to see peoples experiences with 20s with really low pro tires

Low profile tires on bumpy roads = curb rashes (you can get these from actual bumps too) and again bent rims if you hit bumps pretty hard.

yeah he did, but thats not part of the story now. I'm just debating if I should fix and keep the rims OR fix and sell the rims. The roads here in Canada are pretty damn bumpy. That's whats causing my dilemma

I would not get them fix, it is to dangerous, it will damage you car in the future too.
So throw them and get a new pre owned rims.
You can still keep the tyres just get the rims.
When I buy any thing pre owned I alway take it to a place to check it out before I buy it. But some time I can`t so I need to do home work 1st.
well good luck

There are two places local to me that repair rims nationally so I am guessing that they are safe. As for the likelihood of them bending again I would say that it is high. A lot of us have 18 inch rims that bend all the time.
