My Ride: 2008 E60 520d - 1995cc-177bhp, Business audio, Adaptive Xenons, ACS Roof & Trunk Spoilers, M6 Kidney Grill, ///M Badging, Carbon Fibre Door Lock Pins, ///M Wheel hub caps,

Hi all!

need some help from some of you tire experts!

My car is the E60 LCI 520D.

I am planning to upgrade my stock wheels 17" to 18" - 8J in the front, and 18"-9J in the rears. These are stock rims for the E90 and comes as ///M rim in the M Sport Package.

the OEM Part nos are :

36118036935

36118036936

Would like to know if i can do this upgrade without any problems and also Which tyre size should i be going for?

Can i have different tyre sizes for front and back ?

OEM Wheels and Tires: 225/50/17 Rim size: 17" (7.5J i think as per the link below).

http://realoem.com/b...091&hg=36&fg=15

These are brand new wheels with a friend of mine who needs to sell these off, so before i take it, need to make sure its not gonna give me any problems!

Please help guys! thanks a lot !

if they're non M3 3 series rims they wont fit. A E90 M3 will fit with some spacers for the front.

there are slews of stock wheels in 18(123,124 etc..) fitment for the E60. Plus loads of aftermarket.

So to recap they wont fit. Unless they're true M3, but then they'll be 19's

Thanks for the reply guys!

@ 525iEnjoy: The rims have the ///M written on it. They are coming as standard in a special variant of 320D launched here in INDIA . in this version, they are giving CF Spoiler, and this 18" rim, and a couple other addons. Now i dont know if these are the M3 rims or not but definately has ///M on it.

So what do i do now?

What he said...

update:
These have offset of 34 F and 37 R which will not fit unless you feel like running 15mm spacers with longer bolts .

hi all !

Thanks for the replies - Jasper, 525!

Firstly sorry about a confusion here... the wheels i am planning to go for...

the OEM Part nos are :

36118036935

36118036936

THESE ARE 17" wheels, not 18" as previously mentioned... i had thought i heard the dealer tell me it was 18"..sorry~

So about the offset... My current stock rims have 20 offset. on both front and read wheels.

And yes, as 525 mentions, the offset for the new rims are like he mentioned, 34 & 37.

So do u mean to say i can use these rims only with spaces of 15mm and longer bolts?

What if i just put this in directly as is? (asking as i need to understand how these offsets work)

thanks.
