My Ride: 2006 530xi. alpine white, black leather, 6 speed. mtech kit.
Default

just bought some new rims for the 5er and have no clue what tire sizes to get. i have an 06 530xi and bought some 19's.
they are m6 reps with the following sizes:
19x9.5 with a 40 mm offset for rear.
19x8.5 with a 38 mm offset for front.

please help. since the car already looks like a truck due to the x drive, i dont need them to bee too low profilish(is that even a word) but i need no rubbing issues.
thanks.

I think you're stuck with the 275/30 rear and 245/35 front set up which do look narrow. He's mine on my 545i sport (2005)

Hey 'zolensky',

I have 285/30/19 rear and 245/35/19 front, and have no rubbing issues and they are doing fine.

I hope this helps!!

Drop it on H&R's for the xi, or it will look stupid with the xi suspension. Believe me!

i'd go for the factory recommended tire size corresponding to the rim size you got... that way you'd be pretty safe with tension and stress on the suspension

Here's my 2007 530xi with the special suspension for the xi, wheels, spacers, m-tech, hamann splitter, trunk finisher, trunk spoiler, acs roof spoiler, blah, blah, blah. Wheels were 19's. Tires were: 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 (Staggered).

Anyway, point is, wheels and suspension make a HUGE difference on this car. HUGE! The gap is FUGLY!
