Need Help - No heat after Pre-LCI IHKA (high) to LCI IHKA (high)
What's up guys, i need some help
I did a CiC retrofit a while ago but when I installed my LCI climate module i get no heat in the cabin. All the settings are correct, i did a pin 21 mod. When I swap back in my Pre-LCI module, I get heat! Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? - I'm NOT going from Basic to High, i've always had High - I did pin 21Mod (i know that's for the fan, but i just thought I'd list it, it might be relevant) I've read hundreds of post and i can't find anything, i've looked at all the wiring diagram that relates to this. I've compared my MAN files with all that I can find posted in multiple forums (posts relating to CIC retrofits) and still can't find a solution. The only thing I can think of is that my control module is busted and I don't want to buy another one until i'm sure it's busted. Any thoughts? Did anyone who did a Pre-LCI to LCI climate mod have any heat issues?? |
Hi
I did the swap a few months ago and had a similar issue. Make sure you are familiar with the newer unit and how to use it as it works completely different. you may have it set to cold which I did. Another thing is to check that the system module that controls the climate is updated to the latest software.. when I did the CIC install I had to get my L7 amp software updated as there was no sound and the climate software for the same issue you are having |
FYI, I had no stored codes regarding the HVAC system.
I have noticed several instances of this car not being real happy after sitting for several days, battery discharge warnings. I investigated and found the battery in the car is about 62AH vs the oem 110AH that it's coded for. I am going to verify that the car isn't being fussy about the battery being undercharged by charging it overnight then trying the defroster one last time. |
