hey everyone, i finally made the decision to get the darn thing installed (couldn't resist) today. I must say that its a nice DVD player and unit. Everything works great. I had them install it right under the glove box since I have a CD changer inside the glove box. You can almost not even see it.
So let me explain the good, not so good, and the bad.
Good
====
- The picture quality is great
- There are plenty of options in the DVD player (personalized settings)
- Easy switching between the I-drive and DVD input (through a remote - not a switch)
- Everything is controlled via Remote controls
Not so Good <_<
========
- You get TWO remote controls. One is just for switching between modes and you only use one button to do so (kinda pointless to have a credit card sized remote that has many buttons but only one button serves a purpose) and the other remote is for the DVD player itself.
- The sound quality is good but I think it would be better with the AUX input
- You can only get the picture in the left side of the screen. The picture does not cover the entire I-Drive screen. I was dissapointed at first but then i figured its better that the image doesn't get streched.
Now for the BAD
===========
- There are NONE!
Overall - this is a great unit. If you always wanted to watch DVDs on your I-Drive screen then this will do the job. I would probably give this entire package a 8.5 out of 10
I will try to post some pics of this unit working with images and hopefully some video in a couple of days.
