hello everyone, Im fairly new to the site and new to owning a bmw (very happy that i chose such a great car). Ive been having problems finding the retrofit kit either through bmw or through another source. I have the instruction on how to install it and its very easy but cant find the retrofit kit. My bmw has mp3 playback on the cd player, bluetooth, voice commands for cell phone. All i can say about this car is that its simply an amazing car and am impressed on how great the car is and absolutely love the car. So now back to topic where can i get this retrofit kit at a reasonable price im willing to spend up to 2000.00 for it and i also know that the car has to be recoded or reprogramed. Anyone can help me out. It was available through bmw in 2004 but what do I gotta do to get this.

The car also had painted on pinstripes which i removed myself with a dremel and a polishing dremel kit and maguires ulitmate compound everyone said i was crazy for doing it but it looks incredible without it especially that im 25 and not an older guy (no disrespect to the older guys on the board )

On a side note i had a friend recently who passed away he was 22 and had a bmw 335 I with all options installed and customized it with the chip to make the turbos faster and changed all bmw logos from blue and white to red and white. It was a really really nice car. He always told me to make my car different and unique. If anyone has any ideas on how to make my car unique it would be greatly appreciated so i can make an angel happy ...

Firstly from across the little pond. I have searched through the BMW parts catalogue and can not find the kit part no.s, can you give me more info, year and month of production, engine size and type or PM me your VIN number.

thanks, the vin is WBANE73537CM50173 i believe its a 3.0L 255 hp

I'd say spend a couple hundred on a Garmin and use the other cash for a other mods and repairs and maintenance.

It seams there's no retrofit kit listed for pro nav, not for US cars anyway.
The individual components are as follows :-

So if i get all the parts you had mentioned and got the car reprogrammed i shouldnt have a problem.

I would think that the car is nav ready so i dont think i would need the fin but what do i know.

The two things you might not need are the antenna and the switch.

Sorry to hear about your friend... I don't think it would take much to make him happy... simply think of the mods that would make your car look good and by doing so, it will be different and I'm sure it would make your friend happy.

The part numbers must be right but I don't think it would be in the price range of $3k unless you are getting everything brand new (which doesn't make sense in my opinion, just get it used). Perhaps $2k or less but you'll have to shop on eBay for good pricing... You also need to include the center trim... part no. 51456951031 list price is $123-$136... not so sure that is the correct price either. Good Luck!
