This will be the second retrofit I've done. The last one was pretty flawless - and it allowed me to go full force into this one because I assumed it was that easy. I got all the parts together, over a long period of time, some had to be scavenged from wrecked cars - but I got it all.
Now I will note before I go too far that I have not had this thing coded, and from what I can tell it came from a 04/05 645i. I put it in an 07 550i.
What is happening is every time I start the car the iDrive starts up as normal, then freezes, and then resets...2 to 3 times. If I have the bluetooth enabled then it does it 5 or 6 times. But after all that it runs normal and perfect until I turn the car off and start it again. The nav DVD is OEM and brand new. The features coded into the CCC are almost exactly the same as the features in my car, with the exception of TPMS, it has the old style and it is grayed out in the menu.
Any advice? Bad CCC? I can handle the truth. Thanks!

most likely you're going to need to recode the CCC. If you have an independent tech nearby with an Autologic unit you might get lucky following the nav retrofit path. otherwise, it's a world of hurt at the dealer. I did it at the dealer and it took three separate trips to do the full programming, a preparation one, then the retrofit, then the voice commands retrofit.
and it gets worse- the dealer's programming unit will not accept CCCs or even monitors that weren't the original part #s for your particular car. I also got a 2004 645 CCC and it took that just fine (remember my car is a 10/04 build though) but I had to swap out the monitor before I could proceed with the programming.
