Inspired by the OEM M3/M6 wheels and the aftermarket finishes on some wheels (HRE, Forgestar, etc.), I decided to do something different with my OEM 166s.

Here is what I had done:

1. Powdercoat the entire wheel Black
2. Machine down the front face
3. Powdercoat the entire wheel Clear Gloss

The outcome was exactly as expected.

Some photos below.

The finish (I'm going to get the "newer" BMW center caps this week to complete the look):

On the M5:

My BBS RS-GTs in the reflection.
I want one!! You got style my friend! Now, am I gonna miss seeing my twin RS-GTs?

Great idea. Looks nice. I guess now you only need to clean those M166 every other day, instead of every day.

Have seen your wheels both before and after in the last month, I would never have realized that they are the same wheels. They are sooo nice.
