I have sports pkg and have 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears. The front never rubbed but the right rear did. After rolling the fenders, they still rubbed occasionally over bumps and with passengers. I then installed coilovers; lowered the car about 3/4" but stiffened the shocks a bit and now they hardly rub at all...only with big dips or bumps and with passengers.

The other thing to consider besides tire sizes is the offset of your wheels.

I think offset has a big effect on it b/c it seems like a lot of people on here have the same tire setup but some have rubbing and some don't. The guy I'm getting the wheels from said that after speaking to iForged, they recommended 245/35F & 275/30R. Does anyone have any iForged on here?

Also, how much did those coilovers cost you? And I think I misunderstood what rubbing is. I thought it was the tire rubbing against the wheel well...if I'm right, then how do you prevent rubbing w/ stiffer shocks but also lowering the car. Thanks in advance guys...all this info. is really helping

Looks good Busta

How's the ride quality? Any plans of lowering? Can you pm me of how much you got them for?

Thanks!

The ride quality suffers a bit but nothing I'll stress over. I expected the ride to be a lot harsher. I had plans on lowering but from the looks of it, I don't think I need it.

check your pm

Thanks for the pm Busta. Yeah, doesn't look like you need to lower it. Looks good the way it is, for now at least.

Someone else on this board has DPE's (forget their name) running 245/35 in the front w/ sport pckg and they have rubbing issues.

Hi Pkorkis,
I got the KWs for a "deal" at $1250...brand new from a private party. I say deal because these retail for almost $2400. They are height and rebound adjustable.

You are correct that rubbing means the tire is rubbing against the fender. By stiffening the coilover shocks, it reduced the up and down movement of the car. The stock shocks were softer so the car moved more so more rubbing occured. The trade off is that the ride is stiffer but not too stiff and since they're adjustable, I can dial in the preferred amount of firmness.
