So these are my final mods. Im not going anywhere fast with my 525i, so I decided to make the car look and sound better. I got my exhaust (I wanted Eisenmann, but too $$$) so I went with a custom exhaust (magnaflow) + tips and did my shadowline trim.

Enjoy!

oh I included a vid b/c i knew ppl would be interested of how it sounds. It sounds ok while reving, but its super loud when driving
Looks good John. Like VT said, I like the way you think of making the car look and sound better.
And stop modding? don't believe the hype... haha

Hey John,

Any idea if this setup would work instead? I'd rather have the 2 pipes coming out of the muffler individually? Did you consider this?

never thought of that, it depends on your preference C. link doesnt work btw!

Disclaimer:
My car drones, esp inside the cabin. The difference from stock to aftermarket sound is a whole different change. If it is still loud after I break the exhaust in (~1000mi), I might put a silencer in.

John,

What are the diameter of those tips? 3" or 3.5 "?

I went on Magnaflows site and found the following. Are one of these the mufflers you got?

1. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd...main&id=761

2. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd...main&id=762

Just curious, but you said you paid $215 with install (less tax). Where did you buy the exhaust from? Was it direct? They're asking $266 and $274, respectively.

i like this one , gosh dammit!! i just got my wheels now to think of an exhaust lol hahahahahah, here we go again!

Sorry, this is the link that should work. I'm going to call Magnaflow and see if this will work.

Any chance you can take a video sound clip of what the sound is like INSIDE the car?
