Ok, breakdown of my day on 08/10/06, i woke up in the morning and just looked at my car and decided that i wanted euro version headlights. so only way to get it was through rodybmw's advice 
. anyway i was trying to find chrome stripes and silver stripes, wasted my whole day looking for these damn things 
anyway, rodybmw wasnt too clear on the silver size so, i guess it was 1/4 
well look for yourself and tell me what you think! 
anyway, i was up till 4 am trying to make this look nice, but failed miserably 
but lets give rodybmw a

Thanks for the compliments bmw4life. I am still trying to find some time to write up a DIY with more info, but I don't know when it will happen. The chrome stripes that I used are 1/8" wide and Pep Boys has them. The silver stripes are 3/16" wide and you can get them from auto paint shops (the stores that sell paint and supplies to body shops). You may be able to find the silver 3/16" stripes at Pep Boys too, but when I went there they were out of stock.
I will try to post a DIY when I can, but meanwhile I think you should take jiio's advice and peel those off and do it right

Don't get me wrong, it will never look perfect (I don't claim that mine do), but it can look much better than that. If done right it actually looks darn good from a few feet distance.
