any good jobs in Cali? I know we'll have lots of friends in Cali!! hehehe

For good jobs the ONLY places to be are NYC or LA, other than that it;s a crap shoot. Besides, your GF would love all the sun and you guys can sell your winter setups to help finance the move . Also, Vlad can finally get a RWD 5er like he was destined for

20s while living in Brooklyn and braving the crappy roads?? I wouldn't. Rims and/or tires wouldn't make it 6 months without serious damage from potholes. Two of John's 19 inch V710s got bent in the summer around these parts as did two of my OEM 172s. NYC roads and big wheels are not a good combination. Were I John, I'd get 19s as the max size (unless I was in tight with a cheap wheel refinisher and tire supplier).

Of course, those DPEs are stunning....
Most people run the same rubber as 19s. 35 series front and 30 series rear. So the same amount of tire protection are on 20s as are on 19s. So really it isn't any different hitting a pothole.

Anyone running the 35F/30R 20s on a 530? I have a specific question: do you feel like you car's performance was hurt noticably going to larger overall diameter wheels?

John, speaking of chicken, next time I'm near your house, I'm gonna hit that chicken joint!!!

You can live in NYC and have a RWD car no prob. Just gotta get a set of dedicated snows for the winter.

That being said, I'd love to move to Cali. I am so sick of the cold weather here in the winters. Not gonna happen due to other stuff unfortunately.

I agree, I like NYC (if for no other reason than I get to see my Yankees more often), however, after growing up in Colorado NYC always felt too crowded for me. Here in Cali I get the best of both worlds, no winter and room to breathe (albeit LA smog I'm breathing, but hey, I smoke anyways). Best case for me would be to move back home to Denver, but that is a pipedream - no jobs there
