Got a couple of questions
1) How do I know which audio system I have in the car ?
2) Well, whatever it is ... its complete and utter sh!t !!! I turn a music up a bit and the speakers cant handle it. Dumb dumb dumb
So, what did people do to upgrade theirs ? I believe you need to add tweeters to improve it a lot.
Thanks

Sounds to me like you have the standard spec UK system. I would say a quick way to tell is remove one of the covers on the speaker in the rear deck with a small flat head screw driver, if there is only a 4" speaker and no tweeter, then you have the standard stereo.
I would say if thats the case, the first thing youre gonna want to do is add 4 tweeters at each OEM location, that should dramatically improve the clarity of your system, then check out Bruce Miranda's stereo upgrade write up for ideas.

You probably have the standard or HiFi system - 10 speakers with 2 woofers under the seats - yes it's crappy. Here's what you do:
Step 1 - Get this - http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/category...eaker-Packages/
Step 2 - Get a good quality sub and amp setup in the trunk (I went with JBL, but whatever you prefer)
This is just what I did, your setup is of course up to you. My car sounds WAY better now.

Thanks all.
Will try out Bruce Mirandas method first then as I need something cost effective at the same time and dont mind if its not oem (but should be good).
Will keep yiu gusy posted.
