BMW and Nokia compatibility ends. Only 6310i will work with bmw car-kit.
No later phones will be supported. My dealer gave as reason that Nokia and MB work together and BMW will work with Motorola.
I have a Nokia 6650, supports UMTS so I can use my IPAQ and Notebook on the internet in the car. Now that they connected my CK-7W to the car speakers I am happy. No Idrive connection, But voice dialing and all the functions are possible with a little button from the CK.

I heard the same thing fm my dealer. I have a Nokia 6230i which is not fully compatible with the car and therefore bought a new 6310i on Ebay. I know its older phone but had a that one before and if works fine. Funny that BMW still has the snap-in adapter avail. (the phone is out of production for some time now)
