My friend did this on his 06 330i. Can you do this on the E60?

In a muffler delete you don't actually remove the mufflers. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109344

I ran straight pipe with a flowmaster on my previous car (Lexus/ automatic ha) took out the resonator and cataylic converter was loud though ... it through on my check engine light since I accidently cut off the o2 sensor so it wouldn't pass inspection but I know people got it passed ... I don't recommend doing it unless you know someone to pass it for you since they check the bottom of your car during inspection

this is how my car sounded more or less

*If you have an automatic car please don't put an exhaust on your car ... sounds way better and "right" on a manual car*

I would be worried about losing power, maybe cause a back pressure issue or a Increased Emissions light? Just make sure its worth it if you go that route.
