Here is an informative post on disabling LED strobing and flashing, with a video that shows before and after coding.

Nice, this explains why the Orions flicker at startup as well.

Are you saying that the MTEC's are flickering as you drive along? I notice the flickering when I start the ignition (car faces a wall so I see the reflection flickering), but I don't know if mine flickers as I drive.

In a non-LED light field, the LED replacement will flash at intervals because of the bulb check. Bulb checks do not occur if that lamp is already lit. MTEC AE aren't a real problem, as the flashes are not noticeable during the day (no one looks at the front of a moving vehicle for a long time). At night, the MTEC AE aew probably on anyway. It's the side LED repeaters, rear LED turn signals and LED brake lights that could create a problem when they flash on the road, especially at night, even more if those flashes catch the attention of a patrol officer. For the E80, Bruce's cables provide the flash and error message suppression, in addition to providing the LCI light bar look, without replacing LCMs, harnesses, or coding.

My local BMW center will provide official retrofit programming and coding, if a specific LED retrofit is available for a specific vehicle. However, they cannot and will not tweak Bulb Check options individually. I have located a Depo LED rear light replacement for my E90, but have not found anyone locally with an Auto Logic programmer.
