hi all i m starting a thread to pull the available options of modding our rides. hoping that those who hv done some tuning excluding body kits contribute here.

ok i hv ordered a gruppem Cold air intake (CAI) system to be fitted next.
gruppem

at the same time i m gonna fit a supersprint exhaust (model 788206).
supersprint

in 1 mths time i will get dmsautomotive to fix my ecu for 24hp more.
DMS automotive

n maybe after warranty expires i will go for the ASA charger kits....but thats a big maybe...

Wouldn't water get inside were the intake is located?

no as it is tilted n pointed down...air will be ramme din at speeds but water will flow out still.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but no chance that an ECU mod will add 24 hp to your 530. Chip mfg's are notorious for unsubstantiated claims. The only ECU mod's capable of adding that much HP are for turbo engines. A 'remap' will not make a 225 hp motor 250 hp. Just no way.

I found it suprising too.. powerchips are able to upgrade the 530i for 14hp. But they are so pricey.. :'(
