Hey everybody!!!
I'm sorry that I'm posting another topic of the mirrors but there are topics of mirrors all over the site and I can't find the right answers to my questions!!
1) I heard from my dealer that the M Sport Package mirrors will cost 1500? placed and the schnitzers only 1000?!!! Can this be true?
2) I thought when I'm getting other mirrors, I will give my old (original) mirrors back to my dealer and he will give me a good price for them.
My dealer told me when I get the Schnitzers, they will use the "engine" of the original mirrors for the schnitzers (and still 1000?????), so my old mirrors are lost!! :'(
When I'm gettings the M Sport package mirrors, do they have a engine (to turn)???
Or will they use the engine from the original mirrors?? I find I very strange that mirrors cost + 1000? without an engine in. When they come with a engine and heated, I can give my original mirrors back!
3) Are there M5 replica's available??
Sorry if the answers are already on this forum but the "schnitzer mirror will use engine of the original mirrors" looks strange to me! Have the M Sport mirrors this too?

Re. yr question 1, I believe that is correct. Now, the M-mirrors can be folded I believe, while the AC's cannot.
Re. price: I got quoted 1065 EUR for the mirrors by my dealer, 60 EUR for painting + working hours at 50 EUR/hour. The part numbers he gave me are the same part numbers that I got from the eBay seller and are also the same as the part numbers that Kigerka mentioned on the thread 'M5 Mirror Part Number, Does anyone know'. So, M5 mirrors = mirrors in the accessories brochure (?).
The price is for 4 parts, i.e. left and right mirror and inside glass.
We seem to be going round in circles on this one...

I just called BMW HQ in Belgium. They have told me they have no M-mirrors from the accessories brochure on order yet (neither in Belgium, nor in the Netherlands).
She's going to get back to me with more details by the end of this week or early next week.
The first non-M5 E60 owner in the Benelux that clears this up and shows me a picture of his car with the M-mirrors installed, I owe a drink (or a couple depending on circumstances...
).My apologies to forum members of the other countries on this one (the drink I mean).
