If you wanna test it out before pulling the trigger. Plastidip them. Stuff works amazing. I did all of my window trim and I live where it snows. i use power washer on car for cleaning..It's been about a year. The trim is still flawless. Will cost you 5 dollars in your nearest lowes/homedepot/walmart.

If done right you will not be able to tell the difference from it and the plastic grill.

Then against its only 40 to 50 dollars to buy black grilles anyways.. So it's not like its a major expense.

I've used PlastiDip on several parts of mine, badges, trim, etc.. All looks great, except I don't like the blue I did on my mirrors, removing that soon. I bought the grills on ebay for like $20, and they fit perfect.

Plastidip is more like 5.. I believe he was saying he bought the actual matte black grille for 20.
And you can buy glossifier that goes over the plastidip for another 6 or 7 bucks.

Plasti dip in Canada is not $5, it's $20 thats why I'm going to try something else. I did some googling, we will see how it turns out
