Ok was in debate of getting a rpi exhaust then ran into this magnaflow muffler on amazon for $139 shipped and said WTH I'm going for it. All I can say is hell Ya this muffler kicks ass, sounds like sex and has already paid off. You can't go wrong with this magnaflow 14816 For the price I got it and a $45 install at my local exhaust works!! I was so amazed at how restrictive, ugly and heavy the old muffler was on my 05 545i

Have this same muffler on mine but have it out just enough to read the magnaflow etched on the tips.

I thought it sounded kinda ricer at first but I guess after some heat Cycles its kinda loosened up.

The OEM pipe is 3" you think we are choking it up by going down to 2.25" ?

do you have a further rear shot of the rear? where you can see the whole rear of the car straight on. I want to see how big the 3.5" tips are on a stock bumper. I'm thinking the 3.5" might be a little to big for the stock bumper and 3" will be more subtle and cleaner. i'm debating on this the #14816, or the 14815 (straight cut) and 14862 (rolled tips) with 3" tips.

and did you keep the resonator on, it looks like you did. If I plan on getting a exhaust I want to keep them on so it's not to loud. How is it with it on?

I'd keep it on, I have a setup with magnaflow and quads without resonator and it gets way too loud inside.

I also have the same concern about the small inlet size. How has it been performing for you guys?
