I was doing my daily browsing and I came across a set of M6 wheels with tires for $1300, with some curb rash. is this a good deal?

I am not sure if I want to buy some rims with curb rash..

it beats paying full price, you can have the rashes repaired. how are the condition of the tires?

Nice price..things to clarify/check:

-Are they OEM or replica

-Pics of curb rash, so you can decide for yourself if the wheels are able to be repaired/refurbished

-Type and size of tires

-Condition of tires: How many miles on them? Approx tread life remaining...

-Location on seller and cost of shipping...

Good luck, keep us posted

They Are OEM as far as I know

I need to look at them first hand. The pics don't really show the curb rash. so I will be looking at them today maybe.

As for the tires I need to double check the size. I may need to buy new tires..

Can any one tell me what 19" size tires I need for the e60 without causing any problems?

Thanks

I think 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 should be fine

Ok.. I finally went to look at the rims. They have some curb Rash on two of them but the rest are in good shape. I was reading somewhere on this board that the OEM's would say BBS on the inside of the rim. I saw "made in italy" does this mean they may be knock offs and would a $1000 dollars be too much for them

they have about %65 thread left and they are fitted with some Kumho Esctas's 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

is this a at least an alright deal if there are replicas?

will pst pics later..

Thanks

OEM 167 M6 rims are forged. Full retail is over $800 per rim. If they only want $1000 for 4 wheels & tires, they are probably NOT original M6 rims. Just by looking at the face of replica M6 rims, you can tell. The replicas tend to have a thinner edge than the OEM's and also have a darker tint to the non-brushed areas.

Miro makes an excellent quality replica...and not too many replica companies can say that. And they are pretty cheap now....19's are $175 per rim up front at 8.5" and $225 for rear 9.5" rims. $800 total for 4 rims! I will be doing these for my winter setup on the M5. You can buy Miro's here, with tires, TPMS, etc., shipped to your door, ready to be installed. http://www.modbargains.com/product.a...id=Miro_M6_346

For example, here are 4 OEM factory new M6 rims on eBay...4 wheels & NO tires: $2795 w/ free shipping.

I wouldn't say they aren't real M6 wheels, if they are selling for $1300.

They are used and have curb rash, so the price seems realistic.

FYI the rims above are like Eur. 450/new set in Italy, check ebay.it

This groove below, is an OEM feature, also OEM 167s are Not made by BBS
