So I'm getting my OEM front bumper replaced with the M5tech one Umnitza/Trinity sell. I went and picked up my stock OEM bumper today from the body shop and noticed the air intake molds which are attached to the bumper were still on it. I wondered why they didn't transfer them onto the M5tech one and they said that it won't fit properly on the other bumper. So basically now my air intake is half ass going mid way into the inside of my bumper while the rest of it sits on the original OEM bumper in my garage, is this normal? They said if I notice any performance issues they may have to order another intake piece from BMW to match the M5tech bumper or make a custom one. I took a picture of the intake piece on the front bumper and apologize about the quality (iphone pics suck). Anyone else have this happen when they had their M5tech F bumper installed?

those are brake ducts, you don't really need them. I also believe they don't fit in our M5 style front bumpers. I noticed the shop half assed mine by leaving one of the ducts inside!

They are brake ducts really? so it has nothing to do with the intake at all? if so thats a relief. Is this gonna mess with my Brakes at all then?

they're used to cool the rotors down. it shouldn't affect the brakes, just doesn't cool them down as fast.
