spacers are not necessary for the wheels to bolt on. for the M5 166 wheels, we recommend 12mm in the rear just to bring the rear wheels to a more aggressive offset, mainly just for looks.

just FYI, I am not able to run 12.5mm spacers on the back with my 166's with 285/35/19 Sumitomos due to rubbing issues against the fender when it dips. You'd probably be ok with the recommended 275/30/19's. But i'd rather have a meaty look than stretched. I may change my mind when I lower it on CKS Coilovers with Swift Springs from Trinity in February. I'll probably need the smaller tire to get it to tuck in there. Guess I need to wear out my tires before then!
