M5 wheels and tires on 530i w/sport pkg.

@006 530i w/sport pkg. Stock 245/40/18's currently.
So after a few months of hunting I finally scored a set of 166's from an M5. Wheels are pristine and came with BRAND NEW Continenal's. 255/40/r19's up front and 285/35/19's for the rears. I was really hoping to be able to slap these on my Wife's '06 530. In comparing, the M5's tires overall diameter is about and inch larger than the 245/45/18 Bridgetones on the car now. Looks like I have adequate room in the rear, but the fronts are what I am questioning. From what I understand from several searches is that the fronts from the M5 WILL NOT FIT( hits strut???). See, the tires have had the outside bead broken and no valve stems (guy took the TPMS sensors). I would need to go down and have stems put in and balanced in order to really test fit them. Don't really wanna go through all the hassle just to find out I have to buy different tires anyway.
So can anyone confirm if they will indeed fit or not, maybe someone who has tried it? Also if the answer is NO, what tire sizes are ideal? I was thinking about 245/35/19 up front and 295/30/19 out back as those sizes are pretty close to whats on the car in overall diameter and will not leave me with even more wheel well gap. Another question. What if I was to change just the fronts out for the 245/35's and just run the larger diameter rear's I already have? Will the vehicle dynamic systems put up with the difference in rotational speeds front to rear?
If I end up needeing a whole set of new tires I guess I will hae some new Continentals for sale.

Thanks, I checked it out. Looks very good,just want to know if I need to even waist time with the tires that are on the wheels I have, or just order a new set of tires.

I am in the same boat. My wheels should be here in a week or so. The front tires need to be replaced any way so I am going to test them out with the bad tires first and will let you know.

Decided to bail on the tires from the M5. Funny,there are so many knowledgeable guys on here, but nobody takes the time to answer the "easy" questions for the newbs. Sorry for asking.
I decided I would just buy the smaller sizes, IE: 245/35/19 and gonna try to stuff a 295/30/19 in the rear, if that doesn't work I will do the 285/30/19's out back. From what I can tell the fronts should be money, the rears will take some trial and error I guess.
I am gonna just try and fnd the right buyer for the new set of Conti sport 2's that came with the wheels I bought. Anybody need a set in M5 fitiment?

Just a side note, The 245/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rear work great on a sport pkg equipped 5 series with M5 wheels. No rub, no shake up to 120mph! Here are a few shots. Not the best, but what I had on hand. May try an 8mm spacer on the rear. 12mm may be too much with the width of the tire, and 10mm is taboo from what I understand.
