What is the correct tires size I should install on my M5, M166 wheels to fit it on 2006 530i without any rubbingg?
I have purchased a set of four M5 wheels with original Conti tires size: front 255/40/19 and rear 285/35/19. The rear wheels / tires fir to my 530i. The front ones are /slightly/ rubbing. Obviously I need to change the tires all around. Please advice! Thanks

Correct sizes are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

5er is correct, but given the choice I would do 285/30's if they were more available / less expensive. My 275's look a little narrow for the wheel.

I agree with Dennis. I would go 285/35/19. It is a bit more expensive, but it's definately worth it.

What about 245/40/19 on the front, instead 245/35/19. Anny rubbing issue ?? Thanks

From what I remember seeing, some have rubbing and some don't. With a lowered car I think you would rub for sure.

With the ET12 166 front rims it will be close. Some say it works and others say no. I am installing 245/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear on my 535i with 166 wheels.

What kind of tires are you going with? I looked on Tirerack recently and all the 285/30's seemed really expensive.

I'm going with the PS2's. Ya I know, they are real pricey. about $80/tire more for the rears over 275/30/19's but I wanted to see how the car looked and drove with them. The reason tire rack doesn't show them is because they are a special order size. It has taken 3 weeks for them to come in to my dealer, suppose to be here tomorrow. I will report how they work out. In looking at many pics of various E60's I thought the 285's would look better on an un-lowered car. I think the 275's look too stretched for my old school eye.
