My Ride: 2005 545/SMG Sport Package HUD Logic 7 Bluetooth NAV Cold Weather Package

I have had my 545i sport for one month now. I upgrade from a e34 5speed with the big six. Based upon the recommendation/experiences of members from that forum, I upgraded my e34 swaybars to m5 Touring Nurburgring swaybars and Koni Adjustable shocks and it was a night to day improvement in handling. Has any memeber on this forum upgraded their sway bars to M5 spec? By the way, I currently have the sport package option as well as SMG.

you can't. the 545 sport has active roll bars, meaning there is a motorized unit that "twists" the bars as needed to counter body roll. The M5 has traditional roll bars. You'd have to yank out the active roll bars, recode the car to delete that, and install the M5 ones, assuming they fit the stock 545 mounting locations. In other words, you'd spend $$$$ to do it and you wouldn't get better roll control.

These cars really don't need much help cornering, but if you're up there in miles I'd second the Koni recommendation.
