Now, I should preface this by saying that I'm not doing this to make mine look like an M5, per se, as I will be keeping all my 535d badging, 172 wheels and not adding any sexy skirts or anything (to the car or myself). I just love the M5 side slats as a piece of bodywork and was wondering if anyone knows where to source some without an "M5" badge on. I wouldn't mind just an "M" or even nothing on them. I'm pretty confident my local dealer will carry out the work - actually, I should say hopeful rather than confident. Mine is Titanium Silver by the way.

I so wanted to do this MOD too.. When you can get MKit (to get M5 Look) , M5 Trunk spoiler etc... why not side grills too lol

U can get new M5 OEM side fender grills (Dealer price: $78/peice) on ebay for $60+ shipping, u can remove M5 sticker from them.

But, I couldn't find a body shop till now that will cut the hole in fender lol... they too scared to do that.. since it is not a perfect rectangular shape (has curves), so its not easy itseems.

I've done it to my car.... You have to be VERY PATIENT! Take off inner fenders, anti rust and so on and so on....
Plenty of work. I've done it myself.

no i use to live in phillie but now i reside in lousyana!!!!
love the food, and girls love to party hard, but hot and humid.
i'm talking walk outside and balls stick to your thigh in minutes.
actually you can do it but have to be familiar with body work first
i was able to cut mine and put them in without repainting the fenders.
i use a dremel and cut 2 inch at a time so that the fender wont heat up and
warp. practice is good, if you have a spare fender laying around like ones
from a honda or so. when you buy the grilles ( i got from ebay ) the center
piece actually pops out and you can flip it around and use it as a stencil so you can use a
pen to draw and then cut. then once done the apron in the back won''t allow you to stick them in
that is the reason why m5 fenders are wider so itll clear, but in our case i got a cutting wheel
and cut up the apron lip and cut up the back of my new grilles alittle and bam fit like a glove. to seal
the edges i cut, i use black urethane from a tube . i tape the permeter of the grille and leave only 1mm
and wet your fingers and then spread the ureathane like butter. practice on crappy metal or fender is a plus if
you are a beginner. i own a body shop so it was cake.

Hey gus I respect your curage, but what about rust and stuff? So you just cut the fenders and that is it,

in any case I would do it with CF lamination and it rocks, normally you could ask your dealer to make you a small sticker, for those if you like I may see if I can get you the stickers from "our company"... normally it is not in shops...will see, PM if interested.
