i really like the m5 side fender grille. i bought one with out the M badge and i wannt to get it installed. Im hoping a shop can take my side fenders off when they install my m5 bumpers and cut a hole for the grille. not sure if its that simple though. i have a few questions if theres anyone that can help.

1. is this a dumb idea? has it been done?
2. will i have to repaint the fender?
3. where can i get accurate measurements so the shop i go to doesnt screw up the location.

any help/opinions appreciated so i dont go into this blind.
thanks guys!

I remember a post on here that showed a guy having it done. You shouldn't need to repaint the fender. Regarding measurements, I guess you could find an M5 on a dealer lot and make a little template with a tape measure, paper, and pencil. Good luck.

I wouldn't attempt it personally--just don't have the talent or nerves. Best left to the pros. Plus, if they mess it up, they fix it.

I have done this my self before i buy OEM M5 FENDERS,bumbers, etc.
And yes CWS530 Calvin have right ,you (or the professional ) must find exatly the position to cut the fender
from a OEM ///M5.
The main part from this grills( the main part is the part for non M5)after from the cut at the fender you see a contact with the back side from the fender you must cut this part a litlle to fit them right.Don't have diy foto only
the result:

At least remove the M5 logo. That's not done
