Gents, I appreciate your help as I don't know much about RIMS and that's why I'm looking for your help. So can put 285s on the back without rubbing with four passengers in the car?

Also what is the difference between the original M5 RIMS and the M6 offsets for the back?

I'm going this weekend to check the wheels and make sure they don't have any curb damage. Wish me luck!!
as always, this topic are discussed in many threads and can be found via search...but here ya go:

M5 offset and M6 offset fronts are the same ET12,

Rear M5 Offset ET 28
Rear M6 Offset ET 17

The M6 offset will put your rear wheels flush with the fender...

go with 275's in the rear if you don't wanna sweat rubbing

for a great tire size breakdown..

I am not trying to hijack this tread.. does anyone know if I can put 285/30/19 for the offset 28 M5 rims in the back? I have a non-sport 530i lower with ebich pro-kit springs..

We don't call them "RIMS" anymore, they are WHEELS now . (Hey I get scolded, now I get to scold!!) Go 275 unless you got 4x4 like gap!
