I don't see what the problem is with adding an "M" badge to an M sport E60. I don't know why it doesn't get one as std fit. "M" is on all four door sills, wheels, and the steering wheel so why not? M5 badge would look wa*k though
Perhaps BMW could devise an "M Sport" badge to go at the end

Nah no problem adding a M badge on a M-Sport car but because it doesnt come with the Factory like that. Like ///M 535d people will look at it and go Who is this guy trying to kid. Especially those that know a little about BMWs and not enough to know they have M-Sport Versions and not just ///M and regular production models.

Thank you for your reply.

I will own a 530i M-Sport Package. So, I want to use "///M" part.

Put it on left side of rear model badge. "///M 530i"

Please...

People see things differently in other places. It's only funny if no one is doing it. In Asia, I guess it's OK to have ///M badges on non-M cars. There are many non-AMG mercedes sporting AMG badges on the street. I've seen many SMART's with Mercedes 3-point star emblem with AMG badges, so I guess a ///M badge would not be as cheesy as we may think.

I just wouldn't do it here in USA

Yeah....well in Prague, I see lots of people souping up their cars with loud exhausts, body kits, blue LEDs, the works.....and yet....they run their cars on 14" steel wheels with plastic hub caps.... Go figure..!

The funniest one was some guy that has a 20 year old Skoda that has a rear wing so big and so high... it's like the tail wing off a Cessna. Big exhaust billowing out dense fumes. And did I mention the 'slightly' broken rear axle? The guy goes to the Ikea store regularly and often leaves with his car scrapping the ground because he's loaded his family and Ikea furniture on the roof rack! Next time I see it, I'll try and remember to snap off a picture on my phone, cos it's a really strange sight.

Hello!! I am accessing from Tokyo, Japan.

Now, I am looking for a part number of "M5 Rear Emblem".
(It is fig. 11.)

Does anyone know this part number?
(It is not for E39 but for E60.)
(The part number for E39 is 51142694404.)

Would you mind teaching the part number?
(Please forgive me when it was putting out already.)

You are the one who makes tons of changes to your Lexus GS, right ? I saw your "mod" pages, very nice. However, can you post all the mod to your GS in English rather than in japanese ??

Sounds pretty funny.

Back home the largest(Meaning Fattest(and when I say fattest I mean tug boat)) families used to drive the old Yugo's. Talk about a low rider. After they get out it would rise at least 6 inches from the ground. Even better was watching them get out of that small car!

bullshit MAN

if it is ///M package from ///M Technik Gmbh Germany than you can have a simple ///M badge.
wat is confusing is the topic says ///M5, that is pretending, do not do it but many US has ///M badges.

Our Brazilian friend has put ///M stickers on his non-M wheelz, that if he likes is ok, at least for him.

That's it! If you like it, why not??

You know, the M-Sport models in Japan include lowered and revised suspension caliberation, not just added aero body parts, interior trim, M-Sport steering wheel, seats and wheels.

It is "tuned". The ride is significantly different from standard E60 models.
