Hi every one. :) I came accross some one selling their 2006 M5 Mirrors and I wanted to see if the trusty forum members here can help. Can a 2006 M5 Mirrors be fitted to a MY04 E60?

Thanks!
Phi

Sorry, it's not possible.....

So, uh, just have the guy contact me if he wants to sell them and I'll, uh, find someone else who can use them. Since you can't and uh neither could I!

Yeah that sounds good!

:)

Strongly disagree. You can adapt them....

See this thread.. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=63022

If they do not have the same harness you can re-wire them and use parts from your old mirrors.

Nope, still don't agree...

You must contact this guy and tell him to sell them to me instead since they will not work on your car (or mine). And I'll gift them to someone since I'm not in the market for M5 mirrors at all. Nope, wouldn't be caught dead with them on my car!

2006 when? if its before sep then its a straight swap otherwise not.
But you can still get this to work, all you have to do is pull out all the electronics from your old mirrors and mount them in the M5 frames using the M5 glass instead.

AKAlius

Dont listen to this guys, Bruce is probably one of the most knowledgable people on this forum when it comes to wiring stuff and even he says you can do it..

Hopefully you've realized by now that I'm just being facetious. I'm just jealous because I want M5 mirrors so bad and I can't seem to find a good deal on them. I hope this works out well for you...

(Facetious is my word of the day)

Good luck!

Agreed. I'm afraid if I buy them instead of walking up to my car and feeling daaamn those look nice. I'm going to think of what an idiot I am for spending so much money on mirrors!

Unless of course I am lucky enough to find a good deal on a set before I just give up and buy em for full price....

AKAlius- If you buy them for a fair price and for some reason you can't get them to fit (although they should) let me know and I'll buy them from you. If I haven't broken down and just bought them by then that is....
