If doable, it would be great .
But I'm not convinced

BMW should provide a retrofit kit for HUD!

I wouldn't call it an "M5 HUD on normal E60". HUD is an option on all E60's. I have it on my 535d. There was a post on here recently about retrofitting HUD and a link to that same eBay seller was posted

The M5 has a different HUD - it displays an RPM meter.

M5 and non-M HUD unit are the same. The evil is the software

I traced the rpm indicator indication all the way to the DME. Game over. Software yes, but you can't upload the software of the M5 DME to our cars.
